for the record

Just want to let everyone know that I don't think I'm going to post on this blog anymore. I'm posting everyday on Oren's and I pretty much share everything there. Any random things I will post on my gisele photo blog. It is just WAY too much to try to keep up with three blogs.

Oren's blog is private for reasons I obviously won't post on a public blog. ;)
I'm more than willing to add new readers. Just let me know your e-mail address, who you are, and I will gladly send you an invite. Thanks! ~Denise

Some recent family pics I took. Gotta love that camera remote. :)

A shot Mindy got of me and my baby boy during vacation. Thanks Min!!!

flowers for me

These pictures are very old. They are the flowers my aunt & grandma sent me on Mother's Day. I just found them on my computer the other day and thought I'd share them. :) I don't post over here very often, I'm concentrating more on Oren's blog. I made a commitment to post there everyday. His blog is private though so if you are interested in viewing it leave me your e-mail address and I will send you an invite.

flowers...

My husband brought me some of my favorite flowers today. He stopped by a flower shop on his way home from work and got them for me with a very sweet card. No special occasion, just because he loves me. :)

officially closed....

Just wanted to let everyone know that Oren's blog is now closed to the public. I have a new post on there but if you would like to view it you have to let me know your e-mail address so I can invite you to do so. You can either leave me a comment here or e-mail me at denise_gisele@yahoo.com.

From now on I'm only posting random pictures on this blog. All family related content will be on Oren's. Thanks for understanding! ~Denise

locks of love

So, I've been wanting my hair cut for a while now and finally decided to just go for it. Yesterday I had all of it cut off and I'm donating it to Locks of Love. I had thought about doing this a long time ago and now my hair was finally long enough to go through with it. I'm not sure why I wanted to do this so badly, I just felt convicted I guess. I was feeling selfish after having said that I wasn't sure if I could cut my hair short enough to donate because you know hair is so important to the way a girl feels about herself. The second after I said that I knew I had to do it. All I could think of was all the girls out there who would love to have hair and had lost it due to cancer and other diseases! So I went and had it all cut off. I mean, it will grow back eventually. :)

When I measured down from the very top I had about 24 inches of hair. The part we cut off to donate is a little over 12 inches long. Now my hair is at my chin! It sure is easier to manage but I'm not completely used to it just yet.

I forgot to bring my camera with me, I know, shame. However, LeAnn took a few pictures with her camera phone that I will add to this post as soon as she e-mails them to me.

Here are some that I took today. Hair that is not attached to your head does not photograph well. It looks a bit gross to me actually.

Side note. I am making both this blog and Oren's private by Monday. I'm having some issues that I can't really put here for obvious reasons. If you are at all interested in reading my blogs let me know your e-mail address so I can add you to the list of people allowed to view it. Thanks! ~Denise

tagged twice

I was tagged by two different people with two different tags. I thought I would just put them both in the same post. :)

I was tagged by Mindy to answer some questions.

You're feeling: pretty good actually, just a wee bit tired.

To your left: my precious baby boy in his swing.

On your mind: All the pictures I should be editing and marketing myself. stress.

Last meal included: soft pretzel

You sometimes find it hard to: concentrate on work when I have a sweet little boy looking at me smiling & cooing.

The weather: a little cloudy

Something you have a collection of: old (antique) cameras & willow tree angels

A smell that cheers you up: Oren after his bath, Pumpkin Spice, Jeremy’s cologne

A smell that can ruin your mood: Fish cooking, I hate fish. I feel sick just thinking about it.

How long since you last shaved: Oh well I honestly do not know. I’m lucky to get a quick shower in with my little man around. I don’t really get to take the time to shave often.

The current state of your hair: Ugh. It is up in a yucky little bun thing. It is way too long to do anything with at this point. I’m getting it cut off next week. I'm hoping I won’t regret it. ;)

The largest item on your desk/workspace (not computer): my printer

Which section you head for first in a bookstore: Oh I don’t know. I love going to the bookstore and I like to make my way through the whole place a couple of times. I LOVE to read all kinds of things.

Something you're craving: a new camera :)

Your general thoughts on the presidential race: This is something that just irritates me to no end. I don’t even want to talk about it. I mean come on people, it’s only April. I don’t think I can take 7 more months of this.

How many times have you been hospitalized this year: Zero

Favorite place to go for a quiet moment: When Oren is taking a nap, I sometimes sit in the rocker next to his crib and catch up on a bit of reading. I honestly love going “home.” Not our apartment but to our home town to be with family. There is nothing like being out in the country. It is peaceful there.

You've always secretly thought you'd be a good: ballet dancer

Something that freaks you out a little: A little? Not sure about a little, but I’m BIG TIME, like have a melt down when I see one, afraid of spiders. I also hate darkness, this includes dark water.

Something you've eaten too much of lately: Turkey sandwiches, more specifically the one from Chili’s.

You have never: dyed my hair

You never want to: procrastinate again, but it will happen. It always does. It is a vicious circle that there is no escape from.

Tagged by Leslie to write a blog with 10 random things, facts, goals, or habits about me.

1.I miss being in my home town from time to time. There is nothing in the world like family.

2.I want to have at least 3 kids…possibly 4 ;)

3.Change is coming at the end of the year and it scares me, even though I think things will be better.

4.No matter what is going on I can look at Oren and for the moment all my problems just melt away.

5.I’m really pushing myself to expand my business.

6.I love organization. I hate being in a small apartment, it makes being organized a huge issue.

7.I’ve read almost every book I own (about 120) at least twice. I need some new books, or a library card.

8.I know that my grandma will not be here as long as I would like. I have nightmares about it.

9.I think my life would be very different if I could go back about 4 years and change something that happened a few short days before Christmas…but everything happens for a reason, right?

10.I loved everything about being pregnant. Part of a quote stolen from an e-mail Debbie sent me that sums it up nicely, “cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

I tag anyone who feels up to doing this. Just let me know if you do it. :)
